About Us

Victoria Dairies is a family-run dairy farm based in Berkswell, proudly managed by the third and fourth generations of the Hawkswood family, Clive and Chris.

Every stage of the process takes place on-site, from growing crops and caring for the cows to producing milk and cream in their processing plant. With a strong focus on sustainability, they take great pride in delivering the freshest possible products.

Victoria Dairies supplies the local community through doorstep milk deliveries, as well as local shops, cafes, restaurants and wholesalers. Their milk travels just a short distance from field to fridge, keeping freshness high and food miles low.

Our History

1830’s

Henry Hawkswood was the first of the family to start farming the land.

He had a small herd of 18 short horn cows, which he milked by hand, as well as keeping hens and pigs. The land was mainly used to farm corn.

His son George then took over, keeping the hens and pigs he added to the current dairy herd which took him up to 24 cows which were milked by machine, keeping the main use of the farm purely for growing and harvesting corn.

1972

In 1972 at the age of 18 Clive Hawkswood took over from his father George, seeing potential in the milking industry he added to the livestock and  started to buy Friesian cows.

1980’s

In the 1980’s, the farms next big move was installing the processing plant. This enabled the family to have full control of production and  ensuring only the highest quality products left the farm.

2020+

Now with a herd of over 200 Holstein cows, the farm continues to supply the local area with a variety of milks and cream.
